Iconic chair J41 from the J-Series collection by HAY. Designed in black lacquered oak wood.

The J-Series chair collection is designed to recreate the classic FBD furniture collection. FDB created a strong furniture concept in 1933 under the leadership of Børge Mogensen. The furniture closely combined industrial production with architectural design. FDB revolutionised the design industry and is the forerunner of many design icons that Denmark is now recognised for worldwide.

Børge Mogensen's reproduction of the classic J41 chair has a slightly sloping back and spindles with a large spacing, creating a clear design that offers timeless quality. With a wide plywood seat and a solid oak or beech wood frame, the design is both durable and comfortable.
