The Soft Edge chair collection was designed for HAY by the Danish company Iskos-Berlin. The design of the collection combines strong curves with lightness.

All the edges of the ultra-thin soft seats are curved downwards. They are designed to optimize human comfort during constant movement. The Soft Edge 60 model has a wooden base that creates a smooth and uniform expression. Soft Edge 12 stackable chairs guarantee years of everyday use in a wide range of public and private environments.

    Iskos-Berlin’s Soft Edge series blends strong curves with extreme lightness.

    Made possible by exploring innovative developments in moulded plywood techniques, Iskos-Berlin’s Soft Edge series blends strong curves with extreme lightness to create a three-dimensionality that is not normally possible with 2D plywood. All the edges of the ultra-thin, soft-formed seats are bent away from the body, designed to optimise human-centric comfort for constant shifting and movement.
