Product detailed description

Robust stainless steel construction

Richard Schultz designed the 1966 collection at the request of Florence Knoll, who, upon retirement, wanted outdoor furniture that could withstand the corrosive air of the Florida ocean. Over the years, the 1966 collection has earned a special place in the outdoor furniture world and is considered the first modern outdoor furniture. Since its inception, it has remained the standard in the category to this day. The frame is made of cast and extruded aluminum with a weather resistant polyester powder coat finish.
The wheels are cast aluminum, with rubber tires with differential axle. Upholstery is woven polyester mesh covered with vinyl.

The Knoll brand is synonymous with uncompromising quality, perfect material processing and, above all, legendary design. In particular, pieces from the Studio product category are unmistakable icons from designer masters. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Warren Platner, Harry Bertoia, Marcel Breuer, Eero Saarinen, they and many others have one thing in common - work for the KNOLL brand.
