Product detailed description

Modern and sustainable design

Florence Knoll moved to Florida and asked Schultz to make outdoor furniture that would not rust or corrode. This appealed to Schultz and he began work on a unique collection of outdoor furniture, which he introduced in March 1966. Most of the outdoor furniture at the time was designed to look like it was made before the French Revolution: with stamped metal, bunches of flowers and leaves. It was very period-looking furniture. The 1966 collection was the first outdoor furniture that modern design enthusiasts could say, "It's a breath of fresh air."
